This class is intended to be accessible to people who may not be ready to follow through with Judith’s whole process, although all registrants must have some past experience with free-motion quilting. Students will be able to purchase Judith’s blocks (the same designs as for the 2-day class, October 16 & 18, 2025) pre-printed through Spoonflower, and will use these blocks for learning and practicing thread sketching—in other words, using thread to accent the designs on their blocks. Students may bring their own panels if they prefer, as long as they have registered for the class at least a couple of weeks ahead of time so that there will be an opportunity for Judith to share pros and cons with them about the panels that they are considering. Students participating in the 2-day workshop are welcome to register for this one as well if they wish . . . they could consider it as preparation or a practice session for the detailed thread painting that they would be doing in the 2-day workshop.

Preferred registration is 15 students, although Judith would consider stretching the maximum for this class to 20. Cost for the workshop is $55. Refunds for cancellations may be requested until Sept. 1, 2025. After that date, registrations become nonrefundable . . . and any remaining openings will be made available to nonmembers.
