Karen Eckmeier describes herself as compelled to create” as creating gives her energy and she wants to share that energy with others. Her art is happy and upbeat, concentrating on the positive and whimsical side of life.

In her lighthearted and informative Zoom presentation, she will share two totally different techniques with the same fun results! Two favorite approaches to playing with fabrics are fabric collage (the focus of her book Happy Villages) and layered/topstitching (the technique featured in her book Accidental Landscapes).This presentation will show you how the techniques evolved and will inspire you to try fabric collage or layered/topstitching in your own creations.
