Are you a beginner who would like to learn more about quilting? On October 19, 2024, in the Fellowship Hall of Boise Church of Christ, 2000 North Eldorado Street, Boise Basin Quilters is hosting a FREE event just for you! Spend the morning learning how to select and prepare fabrics for a quilt; how to cut and stitch pieces accurately, and much more! Or come in the afternoon to do some hands-on stitching with a free simple make-and-take project!
Schedule is as follows:

Morning session – 9:00 am to 12 noon:
Speakers & Demonstrations
An introduction to the basics of quilting:
Fabric – Kathie Zegers
Color & Value – Janice Black
Cutting – Chris Bell
Stitching – Maureen Stevens
Pressing – Terri Cury
Quilting – Jennifer Price

Afternoon session – 1:00 pm to 4 pm
Make and Take kits – a holiday trivet/hotpad OR wall hanging
We will have sewing machines set up and volunteer advisors

Stuck on a quilting project? Bring your UFO (unfinished quilt object). We will problem-solve with you and try to help answer your question(s).

This event is open to the public and there is no need to sign up. Bring a friend! Come to connect with our supportive community of sewists ready to share their joy of creativity!
