Almost all pieced quilt blocks, whether simple or complex, can be broken down into certain design elements such as half-square triangles and flying geese. In this class, former guild president Maureen Stevens will describe twelve essential design elements that can be used to make many different quilt blocks. She will present tips and several different methods of making most of these elements and give you patterns for simple blocks that utilize these elements. Come and explore, and maybe make a baby quilt in the process!
